ever think about coffee?
02.16.2011 Ohh snap! It's another post about COFFEE! I'm sorry, its just such an amazing little drink that tastes so good!
So yes, I am thinking about it (because I need some right now!) And I had to share these fun facts about coffee with you...
-People who drink coffee are less likely to commit suicide than people who don't.
-The average American drinks 3.4 cups of coffee a day (bummer, I'm average...)
-37% of US coffee drinkers use milk and sugar. 21% drink it black!
-In the 1820's a temperance movement tried to ban coffee...and almost succeeded! Ohhh.m.g.
- Coffee beans aren't beans, they are fruit pits. Thus coffee is the most consumed fruit in the USA.
-Why isn't iron added to milk? Well...because Iron-fortified milk turns coffee green!
-When coffee first arrived in Europe it was called Arabian Wine (for some reason, this sounds like a "Cash Cab" question)
-The French writer Voltaire drank 70 cups of coffee a day.
-Coffee DOES not cause high blood pressure.
Now, we both can say we have thought about coffee! xxo
ps: ever think about buying fair trade coffee? humm, think about it! It's a good thing.
